What are the main elements of plot?

I am writing a 4 Paragraph essay, and I dont know what the main elements of plot are. I looked everywhere, but I cant find them. The paper doesnt say which ones to name. It says "Briefly describe and list the main elements of plot. Why is it important for a good story to have a well-developed plot?" Please help =]

Expositon (Indrodcing the characters, setting, and the likes) Rising Action (the action buliding to the Climax) Climax (the turning point of the story) Falling Action (the events that help wrap up the story) Resoultion (the ending) As for needing to have a well devloped plot- well it would make no sense without one.
