What views did James Madison express during the Federal Convention of 1787?

I've been working on this for days and I still don't have enough clear information about James Madison's views concerning the Federal Convention of 1787. I'm not trying to make anyone do my homework for me or anything I just really need some more information so please help!

  Madison took copious notes at the Federal Convention of 1787. This is the action on his part which earned him the title of 'father of the Constitution'. To promote the steps toward the constitution becoming ratified he joined forces with A. Hamilton and J. Jay. I recommend looking for more information on him in my first source mentioned below.
