How did different accents develop?

I have no idea how it all started, but I know it has to do with where you are brought up since your a little infant. Others influence how you speak, and the words you use, such as as slang and also your personality. For example, I was raised in a dominant spanish speaking household, but after 10 years old, I started hanging out more with friends, in america the dominant language is english, of course, so I started speaking dominant english. Now, my main language is English, and my second language is Spanish. All because I hanged out with a different crowed. People have influence over every part of your personality, even your laughs. I'm sure you noticed throughout your lifespan you had quite a few different laughs. I know I have. Well, I'm not sure how the accents were first developed, but this is very interesting to find out. everyone's accent is based off the surrounding people. If one considers itself a nation then those people of that nation strive to sound like each other. English in America sounds different than in Britain because it is a melting pot of immigrants trying to sound like each other while speaking english. That is why are voices start sounding a lot like our parents.
