What are some slow songs from the 1920's or 1930's?

Compare and contrast the difference between the 1920s and the 1930s movies? ?

  • I'm writting a paper on comparing and contrasting the difference between movies in the 1920s and 1930s . I already know that movies from the 1920s where silent films and 1930s films were called "talkies" because they had audio and more dialauge. Any information can help. Thank you :)

  • Answer:

Dear God, please check your spelling before you turn in your paper. Aside from the fact that 1920s films were black and white and some movies in the 1930s had colour, sound was a major difference.

The same actors were present for both decades. The major difference was the actors (men and women) who could show emotion well, but once they spoke their voice failed them - too high, too low, too squeaky, too weird, resulting in an end to them performing in talkies. So in 2012 what picture won an Oscar for Best Picture - A film with no dialogue - who would have thought it? A major difference was the music - the music of the 1930s films had some of the best scores ever produced for film. Gone With the Wind, comes to mind (1939).

The actors in the twenties had to show more emotion since there was no sound, to get point across. In the thirties the sets were a bit more complicated.
