• 1. What was one/few of the hardest decision(s) you had to make during war? Easily, the hardest decision is when you have intelligence information that things are especially dangerous (i.e., you have been told that IEDs have been emplaced in towns along the routes you must travel) and you know that you shouldn't cancel your mission. So you have to send your team (including yourself) on the patrol. 2. What was the hardest thing you were asked to do during war? To trust and train Iraqi military forces. It's hard to do with the language barrier. But to make things worse, you initally do not trust them. They do gain your trust over time. 3. Describe a typical day during war. How were nights? Get any sleep? A typical day involved getting up around 5AM and prepping the vehicles for the days mission. Then we'd depart sometime in the morning and conduct a 1.5 hour combat patrol out to the Iranian border. We'd meet with our Iraqi counterpart units and do some train
