When were trains first used in London? What were the major train stations (in London) in 1819?

Answer:
London's first railway was the London to Greenwich Railway. The first section was opened in 1836 and the line was finished in 1838. It ran from London Bridge to Greenwich. London Bridge is the oldest train station in London. Euston station was built in 1838 for the London to Birmingham railway. The underground system was opened in 1863. (The first public railway in the world, the Stockton and Darlington Railway, was authorized in 1821). So the 1819 date seems too early.
