What are some of UNICEF's main accomplishments since it has started?

Name some of the accomplishments of Adolf Hitler?

  • Sure, he hated Jews and started a World War, but in what way (however small) did he make the world a better place?

  • Answer:

Well the greatest achievements of Hitler were definitely not intentional. Hitler helped to create the United Nations, by teaching the world that war is horrible. Hitler propeled rocket research expediently with the v1 and v2 rockets, and started the curiosity with rockets that would become the space age. Hitler insured the USSR would become a super power. Hitler insured Germany would be powerful again after ww1. (If he didnt end the Weimar republic, Germany could still have a weak economy) Hitler provided the US with many of its current allies through ww2 and the cold war. i.e. South Korea, Japan, Germany (West Germany for the cold war) Britain, Isreal, Australia, and New Zealand. (just naming a few) Hitler helped the establishment of Isreal, the UK would probably not have ceded Palastine to the Jews if the holocaust didn't happen. Hitler provented the spread of communism across Germany, as the nazi persecuted communists. Hitler and his allies caused the A bomb to be devoloped. It may have taken decades longer to create if we were at peace. Started the 2nd world war created tons of new military tactics to go along with the hundreds of new weapons created. Hitler caused many smart scientist, such as Albert Einstein, to evacuate to the USA where they were more preductive, and helped America alot. Hitler's war caused Great Britain to lose it's status as a world super power. Hitler insured the USA as a super power, as its economy expanded during the war, and its military increased heavily. Some of these were bad, but still.

Duke, I am perplexed as to how you could think that Hitler would have contributed to have made the world a "better place" (no matter how small that may have been). This question and likely your honest attempt to seek information out in regards to the "good" that he may have contributed to within this world, I will use the words of Sir Winston Churchill in that "World War II was the most UNECESSARY war in the history of mankind". Had the League of Nations had any ability to enforce matters as opposed to appeasing them then it is likely that this war could have been avoided as early as 1935. He contributed NO good and was responsible for not merely "hating the jews" in an institutional sense; there were many innocent German Women and Children that paid the price of his attempt at world dominance after the war concluded. And for those above me who have attempted to point out the "good" he "may" have brought understand that this was borne on the backs of many other innocent people who died for no other reason than not "fitting in". Then add the countless amounts of souls who served in the military of many nations who fought Hitler and the blood of all these people outweigh ANY hint of "good" he may have done - for the record that list is zero, nill, and nothing. Lastly, I thumb no person down out of principle that each have an inherent right to their opinion and thought. I will thumb NO person here up on the other hand either. This question is shameful, Gerry D. Nephew of a non-Jewish uncle killed in a concentration camp for playing a "practical joke" on two SS Officers. Update: My second link is to a man that died yesterday at the age of 94; he not only fought in the French Resistence he also survived the Battle of Dien Bien Phu. Here is a man who provided "contributions".

I believe he was the one who started making students wear plaid uniforms...? Guess if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have had Britney in that sexy plaid skirt and outfit on her "Hit Me Baby..." video. Other than that this question is useless, and defunct. There is not one good thing that sorry a** f**k did that would redeem his burning soul. I'm with Gerry on this one.

There is a fine line walked between being a genius and a mad man. Although, Hitler wasn't born into this world as a demon, no one is. But, he could have made a difference in the world if he had worked on his issues. The world recognizes that he was a mad man with serious psychological issues. The only thing that I can say regarding your question, "did he make the world a better place?" is this (and it maybe perceived as a bit of a stretch), people learn from the mistakes of others and this applies to Nation's leaders. The atrocities and insane period of history during Hitler's reign has made the world more aware of the potential for history to repeat itself, more watchful of other Nation's actions, and all stops are made to try and prevent a reappearance of Nazi Germany.

he tried to make germany strong because the u.s,britian, and france blamed germany for ww1.germany had to pay the reperations of the war

He was named "Man Of The Year" by "Time" magazine in 1938

GrinningTurtle

He turned his broken nation of Germany and made it great.

Accomplishments include the deaths of many (that some now claim serve to have provided modern medicine with there after technological advances...and this is a joke as these advances would have been garnered in a later point in time anyway). Well lets see he did give Mengele and Himmler full time employment to which they then provided loyalty until their dying day....Ooooppps, guess you can't count this either. What about one of the few people that was actually "ethical" in this madness was Heinz Guderian; allowing him to live would provide the world an inside view later in his book Panzer Leader to which one sees the madness first hand from inside the Reich. This is seriously a dumb question.

Hitler invented the social welfare state. He gave elderly people a state pension. Workers got much better working conditions and better labor laws. A kind of rudimentary social service was set up: Winterhilfe. Parents got child support. The NSDAP "Kraft durch Freude" workers organization ran holiday camps and even a cruiseship for workers. That was the Wilhelm Gustlav, which was torpedoed in 1945 with the biggest loss of life ever.Several times the number of victims of the Titanic. The KdF car became after the war very popular as the Volkswagen Beetle. During the war it was named the "Kubelwagen".

Hitler did Absolutely nothing good. I don't see how anyone can say the man responsible for the almost total destruction of the Jewish population in Europe, murder six million jews, murdered millions of gays, poor and anyone who opposed him plus the deaths of the millions of soldiers who fought him did anything good. That's appalling. Anything that was remotely good that came from WW2 ( and there's hardly anything) was a result of the end of the war, not Hitler.
