The Reconquest ended a thriving and fairly advanced Muslim civilization in Spain. 2. The Reconquest unfairly led to the expulsion of the Jewish population of Spain. 3. The Reconquest made the Spanish Catholics often intolerant of people they felt might be non Christian or disloyal and therefore a possible threat to take back Spain again.
