Which QB should I pick up for fantasy?

What qb should I pick up fro fantasy football

  • looking for a first round pick

  • Answer:

No QB should be picked in the first round unless you have a late pick. That pick would only be Tom Brady. 2nd round would be Peyton Manning in the mid pick. 3rs round would be Tony Romo. Prepare the RBs and WRs first bro. You try picking a QB in the first round and you will be playing catch up the rest of your draft. All the other top skill positions will be taken and you will have a poor season. Thumbs up to those who agree.

Simple. Only one QB is worth drafting in the first round, as mentioned above, his name is Tom Brady. He is a low risk and could potentially be drafted anywhere in the first round considering the fantasy points that he put up last year. History and other FF players will argue that he won't reproduce those statistics. But if you want to win in Fantasy Football you have to go against the grain (through research and a little gut instinct). Can you improve on perfection? It is possible here. Peyton Manning IS worth picking in the first round IFFyou are at the bottom of the order (snake draft). The primary reason I would do this is to take advantage of WR/QB combo points (this means taking Reggie Wayne in the 2nd round). If you really wanted to push the envelope you could make a case for drafting Marvin Harrison (w/ or w/ out Wayne). He is practicing and appears to be recovering well from his knee surgery. Also never forget about the Colts TE, Dallas Clark, who may be one of the top 5 TE's this year. Don't forget that drafting a QB/WR combo leaves you very susceptible during the Colts bye weeks. No other QB's should be considered during the first round. Solid QB/WR combos can be found throughout the rest of the draft (ie. Romo/TO, Brees/Colston, Palmer/CJ/TJ). Personally, I agree with the other answers above me. Don't draft a QB early. You don't want to get stuck playing catch up at the RB & WR positions. QB's are a dime a dozen. If you like the idea of drafting a QB/WR combo later in the draft. Consider the Texan's, Panther's, and Steeler's rosters. Rodgers/Jennings in the frozen tundra is my sleeper. BUT, back to your original question. It's up to you, remember, ITS JUST A GAME. Develop your strategy based on your league's scoring system. Tom Brady is the only QB worth drafting in the 1st round. Don't forget, RANDY MOSS is a FREAK. All Brad is has to do is throw the ball up high and Moss will catch it. Always pick a RB first round. Most fantasy football drafts are serpentine so you will get a chance to pick up a QB soon after your first pick if you have a late pick. ALWAYS go with RB first. RB-WR-QB worked well for me last year but I drafted Reggie Bush, R Moss, and T Brady. Lucky me. I wouldn't count on luck like that. What's the chances of your QB throwing 50+ TD with almost half of them going to my 2nd round pick? RB-QB-RB - This sequence depends on which QBs are available by your 2nd pick. Don't go wasting a 2nd pick on Derek Anderson or Carson Palmer if T.O. is still available. I'd recommend RB-RB-WR-QB if you have a middle pick and the league uses 3RBs or 2RBs with a W/R flex option. At the end of the day, it depends on who is available when your pick comes around.

Brady, Manning, Romo, Brees, Hasselbeck in that order (or something like it) Only the first two are late-first round worthy. Workhorse backs (300+ carries) are becoming extinct, you want to target one of those before you do anything. Go for a stud RB in the first round always. If theyre gone, then go for Brady or Moss. Then at least you will have the no 1 QB or no 1 WR, and you can go for a lesser back with great upside, like Ronnie Brown or Mac Jones-Drew (my personal sleeper, cuz when Fred Taylor hangs them up, he will slay opponents IMO).

Tom brady and eli or payton manning are usually safe bets at good players.
