Fantasy Football QB/WR question for experienced players?

  • Question for you guys. I'm playing a guy this year in my Fantasy Football league who has the #1 Wide Receiver (Braylon Edwards) for my QB (Derek Anderson). I'm making a big push for the playoffs, so I'm wondering if since Braylon Edwards is his number one target, and he'd obviously get more points for the reception that i'd get from my QB for the pass, should I consider another QB? Or, is it better that i'm negating most of his WR's points with my QB? In a twist, I have Wes Welker, and he has Tom Brady. Welker is obviously one of Brady's biggest targets, so i'm negating a few of Brady's points as well. Do you think this equals out? Or should I look at another QB? Your thoughts?

    Don't ever worry about negating another player's points. Play your studs no matter how tough a match up they face. Play Derek Anderson and Wes Welker this week.

Start your best QB option. If that is DA then so be it. Braylon may get the ball a lot and he may not. Winslow has been seeing a lot of action lately and Joe Jeriv. is spotty, with WR's you just never know. There is definately no strategy in starting your backup QB just becuase he has a WR that your QB throws to. You are over thinking here.

Don't worry about it. Your QB has more targets than his WR so the chances of you coming out ahead are better than his in the Anderson Edwards matchup.

I don't think you should worry about negating anything. In the end it comes down to how many points you have vs. how many points he has. Play the players that will get you the most points.
