Fantasy Football Keeper Question?

Fantasy Football Keeper League Question...?

  • I wanted to start a keeper league but I'm not sure what to do. How have you decided who to keep? I know some people who are only allowed to keep people drafted from the 7th round on, others I know can keep whoever they want but they either have to pay more or forfeit picks in the draft. Based on experience what works the best?

  • Answer:

The first year, run it like a regular draft, 1-12 then 12-1, or however many people you have in the league. Then the next year is when you have your keepers. We keep 3 players with the option of a forth if we give up our first and second round picks. Run the keeper draft 1-12 then 1-12 like in the NFL.

the best way to setup the keeper rules is to get a concensus from the players in the league, just make sure that it is done before the draft.

We keep 1 player selected from any round. If you do only 1 player selected after 7th round, someone is going to end up keeping a superstar like Marques Colston or Maurice Jones-Drew, while other teams might have no one even worth keeping. The point of keepers is to get everyone excited about ff again this year, so why only let them keep scrub players?
