Fantasy Football question.?

Question about the "not hot" list in yahoo fantasy football?

  • I understand that the "Hot" players listed for yahoo sports are guys who just had a bad game like Ben Roth, Drew Brees, Tony Romo for QBs, but when you click on the "not hot" tab it shows the most random group of players like J.T. O'Sullivan for QB, Kyle Eckle for RB, and Joshua Cribbs for WR. Does yahoo fantasy sports think the average knowing fantasy player would actually pick any of these guys up? I mean couldn't they have made it more useful to put up a guy like Jay Cutler who's struggling and hurt, but is probably on most fantasy squads or Vincent Jackson or Dwayne Bowe who both had some decent games in the beginning, but are struggling right now. Many squads own these players, but no one owns Kris Wilson. No offense to any of those guys, but I think that area on the yahoo sports page would be great if they took some time into making it useful to the average fantasy football player. Thoughts?

  • Answer:

Agreed. The not hot list is useless. I guess it would take another level of technology to factor into the not hot list players that are owned in at least 50% of leagues. The Kris Wilsons of the NFL would be filtered out. Something like that might be more worthwhile.

just showing people who played that did horrible. And its most likely gonna be people who dont often play. Its really just opinions to say who is a good player that just did bad. I mean where do you draw the line? But I see where your coming from, they should do soemthing like the player must be owned by at least 75% of league

Yes I agree. The lists should only include players owned in 50% or more of leagues.

i have wondered the same thing, one week on the not it will be a qb that came in a blow out game and threw a few passes or someone like eckel who only runs when the pats are running out the clock.
