I once heard some one made a comment that Men's 500 rank can beat Top ranked player in women.?

i am not sure there is a top 500 but a chain smoking russian man ranked 250 something beat one of the williams sisters easily when both were in thier prime. i rememeber reading it in tennis magazine. the mens game as far speed and power goes is way beyond the womens. and billy jean king beat like a 55 year old man who wasnt that good to begin with.

i could see that but i will say that women's tennis is the most competetive sport among women's sports. That isn't saying too much but I have a lot of respect for those women who can send out a 125 mph serve, I would not want to be in the way of that

Once by martina navratilova, and i am unsure as to the name of the other. it culd be Billie Jean King as previously stated. Who knows who would win, but I do know that both Venus and Serena can pull out both bigger shots and bigger serves than some fo the men. Anyway, there is more ot tennis than power.

Strength and speed make a big difference. When I was in high school I was on the track team, and I was pretty good (went to state) but nothing fantastic. With my times I could have won four Olympic golds if I'd been allowed to compete against the women.
