Tennis Spin Serve - how to hit?
-
Basically do you hit with power or scrub the ball lightly to make it consistent every time.

Answer:
You hit the ball with the same racquet speed for either spin or power - for spin you hit across the ball in a grazing motion. There are a number of types of spin serve - the main ones are slice, topspin kicker and twist. Personally I found the kicker caused my shoulder to pop because I had to reach too high - I used the slice and twist. Thanks Bill

hit it like a normal serve just come across it. Your grip is like a curve ball in baseball

if you mean a slice serve it should be thought of as a three quarter serve. Basicly do your normal serve and hit it with three quarters of the racket its kind of hard to explain but when you hit a flat serve you hit it with the full face of the racket but with a slice serve you hit it with three quarters of the racket around the side of the ball. you can hold the racket differently but it doesnt really matter. Oh yeah make sure you follow through around the left leg if your right handed and the opposite leg if your left handed

Well, it depends on what kind of spin you want on your serve. If you want a kick serve, or a serve with topspin on it, you want to brush up on the ball (it's easier if your toss is not as far out as usual), but make sure to swing your racket with the same speed as your regular serve. For a slice serve, you want to swing around the ball (I've heard this is easier if you toss farther out to the side) and brush it on the right side (if you're right handed). Hope this helps.

all ur serves should be hit with the same force regardless of whether it is a flat serve or a spin serve... the angle of contact creates the spin or power if u want a kick serve, u need to apply topspin... some players find it easy to get topspin when the toss is slightly behind ur head

to hit a spin serve you have to come around the ball and it shouldn't be hit as hard as a flat serve but you use more racket head speed to keep it in the box

Racket head speed does not change, but the angle between racket and a ball
