What's the greatest match ever played?

Well Federer lives to survive another day. Tricky match?

  • Whats your views on his performance against Berdych, I feel Tomas certainly missed his chances too many errors and terrible serving for most of the match however with the way Berdych played you think someone like Roger would have wrapped up the match a lot easier. Roger got a lot of cheap points on his serve which made the big difference, he did have some errors, i think he`ll need to step up his game if he has any chance taking down Rafa :) or Novak! Anyway who does he play next ?

  • Answer:

Federer certainly wasn't at his best, but it was a lot better than the mediocre form he had recently. Berdych had his chances, but he let them slip away. He was up 3-0 in the first set and up a mini-break in the second set tiebreaker, but he could not take advantage of either. I really feel Blake has a chance here. Federer is still unsure of himself and he isn't playing his forehand or backhand at full speed. His backhand occasionally gave him trouble in the past as we all know, but during his slump his forehand has been way off as well. Plus he's not playing the crucial points well at all. Blake has to come out serving strong and believe in himself, and he'll give Federer a good match.

Neither player played their best tennis lol Both of them missed chances but Federer certainly wasn't up to his usual standards with the shabby service games and unforced errors :) He got away with it against Berdych but if he was playing Rafa or Novak they would punish him for it lol :) Vamos Rafa!! xx

Didn't see the match but its a good one for him 2 get thru in s8 sets- no matter what he says 2004 musta bin on his find. ur right tho, 32 UE to 18 winners is not a good stat, and Berdych's stats are even worse. Still I'll put it down 2 nerves and be pleased he got thru. He can always step it up if he makes the final - always! Outta Simon and Blake next... please Blake plzplzplzplzplzplzplz!!!!!!! God I shud really go to bed.

he would win

I actually think for some reason Blake will win Roger tomorrow. I mean since he has never beaten him, I think he'll play his best to try and beat him. I mean thanks god Blake won Simon easily today cause yesterday he won but played very awful. Did Roger play well with Berdych? If he did, then he'll dominate tomorrow in straight sets. If he played so-so then Blake has a chance. I see Blake maybe winning 7-5 2-6 8-6. The one who wins decide who gets to the final b/c the semis is so easy. And besides, blake has beaten rafa before on hardcourt if the make the finals, but has never played Novak before.
