Who was Roland Garros?

The mens 2011 draw for Roland Garros is out! Who could Nadal face?

  • I only seen he could play Soderling in quarters, who Nadal face in semis ? Federer? Murray? thanks

  • Answer:

yeah he could face davydenko in the 3rd round, soderling in the 4th round and murray in the semi's. to be honest i think rafa is pretty much guaranteed a place in the final never mind the semi-finals, from murray's quarter there is only him and almagro who could possibly win even a set if they played rafa. :):):)

My tips: Top Half QF: Nadal v Soderling - Nadal to win. QF: Murray v Meltzer - Murray to win. SF: Nadal v Murray - Nadal to win. Bottom Half QF: Ferrer v Federer - Ferrer to win in upset. QF: Berdych v Djokovic - Djokovic to win. SF: Ferrer v Djokovic - Djokovic to win. Final: Nadal v Djokovic - Djokovic to win in 4 sets. Some notes: NADAL I really don't see Nadal having too much trouble getting to the semis. Davydenko could be a third round opponent. Davydenko's form has steadily improved but not enough to convince me he is a threat to Nadal yet. Verdasco could give Nadal a decent match in the fourth round but I don't think he will beat him. Soderling could be an interesting QF match up but Soderling's form has been a bit patchy of late. I don't think he'll be taking out Nadal this time around. I like Andy Murray's draw but I think Nadal will have his measure in the semis. DJOKOVIC I think Novak could potentially have a tough draw. Juan Martin Del Potro could possibly be a third round opponent. If Delpo was fully fit, I'd give him a chance to beat Novak. But I'm guessing he will not have fully recovered from his hip injury and that his movement may not be the best - a death sentence on clay. Delpo may not even get that far to have a crack at Novak. Richard Gasquet looms as a fourth round opponent for Novak. Gasquet is a flashy player and if he gets it right on the day, he could be dangerous. However, the French never seem to get it together in their home grand slam, so I'm not predicting any heroics from Gasquet. Ferrer could give him a good semi final match but I'd be surprised if Novak lost that one. I really think Novak will win the whole thing. I think his winning streak will continue until he gets to the grass - probably at Queens, assuming he plays there. FEDERER I just don't know what to make of his form. As a shot maker, he's as majestic as ever but he's lost his air of invincibility. Players believe they can beat him now. They don't fear him like they once did. I'm not sure how Roger can get back that aura he once had. I just can't see him getting past the quarter finals this year for some reason. He's been dominant for so long but I think his time is coming to an end. It happens to all great champions eventually. I can see him potentially winning one or two more slams before he retires. I think he'll retire at the end of 2012. I think he wanted to play on to the London Olympics to get the one title he doesn't have - an Olympic gold medal in singles.

looks like a potential line up with murray or federer in the semis.. as for djovick.. they are on opposite sides of the draw.. only to meet in finals
