Djokovic vs Federer 2 - 3 SF French Open This is one of my favorite matches of this year.Nobody gave Federer a chance due to his form and lack of confidence going into the French Open but he played his part in an entertaining and tense match,just when you thought Djokovic was going to take control of the match Federer produced a big serve or a hit a winner when it most mattered. 2.Novak Djokovic Vs. Andy Murray - 2 -1 Rome Semi-Finals Djokovic was a warm favorite to win this title and battled his way to victory over Murray in this match. Murray came into this game lacking in confidence/recovering from a wrist problem but produced some of his best tennis of the year in this particular match.He had match point but threw away the opportunity to beat Djokovic and the Serbian made him pay for it.

  The French Open semifinal between Federer and Djokovic was great match, but so painful from my perspective as a Djokovic fan. It's the only time I cried this year for a tennis loss. The atmosphere was so sad and it was very dark and late in Paris. Novak looked so nervous for the first time in 2011 and you could just feel it in the air that it would be the first loss in 2011. Anyway, my favorite match from 2011 was the US Open semifinal. That was the most dramatic match all year. It was one of those classic history matches. Two sets down and then a spectacular comeback. He saved 2 match points in the final set. It was the match that brought me so much joy! Novak had many great matches this year and my favorite matches other than the US Open semifinal was his semifinal in Rome against Murray. After an easy first set it became a stellar battle, he was so close to losing the match, but showed champion spirit and played his absolute best in the end. Also another one was his Miami final against Nadal which also ended in a 3rd set tiebreaker. That was one of the most physical matches this year, both were exhausted, but they were pulling their last atoms of strength and the whole match was very spectacular. Both were playing at a very high level. It was fun to watch.
