I plan to stay in the Bastille area for the 2nd week of Roland Garros, never been to Paris. would be great to know how and how long to get from the Bastille area to Roland Garros site by metro. many thanks!

Answer:
from Bastille area to Roland Garros you have to take the metro line No.10 (M10). it goes from Gare d'Austerlitz (in the south of Bastille) to Porte d'Auteuil (Roland Garros). from Bastille to Gare d'Austerlitz you have to take the metro M5, it's pretty close. http://www.parisdigest.com/information/mapmetro.htm click on the map to zoom in Bastille is located slightly on the right side of the center (on the map). Roland Garros is on the very left side of the map, near the end point of metro M10 (Boulogne).
