Is it hard to learn football plays?

  • I have never played football in my life and I'm a junior in high school. I am 6'2'' 180 lbs and I consider my self a pretty much all round athlete. I play baseball and golf and did play basketball and every one tells me I should try football and be a quarterback. I pitch in baseball and definitely feel like I have the arm and deep down I would love to give it a shot but everytime I think about playing I get so nervous about learning the plays it keeps me from doing it any advice?

    If you are smart enough to get your homework done correctly then you can learn football plays. You are a good size to be a high school quarterback and well rounded athletically..Give it a shot..You won't know until you try it.....Good luck to ya.....

I highly encourage you to join your high school football team next season. It will still not (yet) be too late for you to start playing football. Based on your height and weight, I believe that you will make a very good fit at quarterback. Your size, especially your height, gives you the potential to become an elite high school quarterback next season, who could go on to play college football. What you need to do this offseason is eat healthy, and exercise by doing a lot of running every day. Personally, I recommend a calorie intake of 1800-2200, as well as at least one hour of running, per day. If you do these two things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly improve your chances of being a successful quarterback in high school football next season, as well as getting recruited to play for a college football program.
