Why does the NFL let gang members play in there league?
-
Most if not all NFL players are from the hood which mean they were or are apart of a gang...today Sean Taylor of the Washing Redskind died, becuase of "gang" violence. Now, I am not saying that Taylor did anything wrong or deserved to me killed, but he had run ins with the law before( weapons charges) and I was heard that he ran with a street crowd. So...why does the NFl let gang members former or not in the NFL? So what if they are good at fottball. I think that most people think these guys will change once they get in the NFL and won't run with the same crowd, but people coundn't be more wrong!!!!!!!!!!!! These guys are THUG GANGSTERS THEY AREN"T GOING TO CHANGE!! THEY COME FROM THE HOOD!! THEY DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER....BUT THEY SHOULD.. ARE THEY A PRODUCT OF THERE ENVIOENMENT?

You are a complete moron, nathanhellen. First of all, take a spelling and a writing class. there league (their) apart (a part) Washing Redskind (Washington Redskins) to me killed (to be killed) and I was heard (and I heard) fottball (football) coundn't (couldn't) ENVIOENMENT (environment) You are obviously a jeenious (genius). You were probably the smartest kid in your 5th grade class, but then again you were 19 years old. Just because someone grew up in the "hood" doesn't mean that they were ever in a gang. As a Caucasian, you embarass me. You're a racist. I dare you to ask that stupid question face-to-face to an African American man (or woman). It would be a pleasure to watch a redneck like you get spread out all over the sidewalk. Everybody is entitled to make a living at what they do best. There are over 1600 players in the NFL, and most are good law abiding people. Every group (or company) that large will have bad apples. Athletes get a lot of admiration for what they do, and they get chastised when they screw up. I'll bet that there are some bad people living in your trailer park, or at the fast food restaurant that employs you. There are many, many black athletes in the NFL who do awesome community work (read up on Warrick Dunn). Attitudes like yours are the reason that bigotry and hatred persist in our society. I see that you've posted 4 questions on Yahoo! answers, and all of them are stupid. You want us to believe that you're a multi millionaire, who made your (alleged) wife sign a pre-nup so that she wouldn't get 40 million $ from you? Yeah, right. Spend some money on an education and sensitivity training. You pretend to have dollars, but you have no sense. Ewe ar a vary dum pirsen.

I could care less where they come from so long as they can play and leave that stuff BEHIND THEM. Guys like PacMan Jones however, should never be allowed to return to the league. That guy is just a joke. I'm all for giving them chances, if they can play they deserve them, but it's good to see Goodell cracking down on the ones who screw up. You're getting paid millions of dollars...or at the very least, a few hundred thousand a year. You don't need to be running around with your thug posse of old anymore. Pacman doesn't need to be running around with drug dealers and gun toting thugs...Vick didn't need to fund an illegal dog fighting ring. There's plenty of legal fun you can have in this world when you're making millions, so don't **** it up.

ARE YOU FROM THE HOOD? I'm from the hood and I know better. So a lot of guys from the hood want out of the hood and sports is the way out. Some of them make it to the pros and can't turn their backs on the hood. YES, I think the league should do something if people have mad trouble with the law but YOU CAN'T DISCRIMINATE a person because of where they come from. AND EVERYONE FROM THE HOOD IS NOT A GANGSTER or THUG! So HELL YEAH, the NFL should continue to allow these so called "gangsters" into the league. They make sports more exciting and they give you something to look at. Would you rather see the NFL full of players from Harvard and Yale? HELL NO! I can't believe you even asked this ignorant *** question and wasted my time answering this ras clot thing.

The people that believe Sean Taylor was killed in a random home invasion are really naive. If the NFL is nice, it will spin the murder. If they are honest, you will hear the ugly truth. Then again, this is the league that couldn't handle Playmakers, so let's say this will be spun into a burglary gone bad, and the suckers will buy it hook, line and sinker.

you DO NOT know that he died from gang violence! that dang romo was an ol' mexican mafia member from way back. marvin harrison is a crip, always has been always will be....TO? he's a blood. brett favre? kkk...c'mon man.....youre better than that! lets say that goodell decided the nfl is infested with urban gang bangers. how could he prohibit someone from making a living because of alledged gang involvement? i would love to see those law suites. wow! nfl has security to try and keep illegal activities out of the league and i'm sure security does it's job. man, in the real world, they cant keep gang members isolated in prisons. in a free society how you gonna do it? tats? a look? what?

Actually, Taylor died during a home invasion. People broke into his home to rob him, and they shot him when he tried to defend himself. If you were rich and famous enough to own things worth going to such lengths to steal, it might happen to you, too. I considered the possibility that Taylor's death was a gang hit, but I think it's even more likely that he actually did die during an attempted robbery. Athletes aren't like other rich people. Most rich people know how to protect themselves and their belongings because they come into wealth much more gradually than NFL players (or they are rich from birth). Also, NFL players are even more obvious targets for robbery because they are more famous than most people of their wealth.

I thought it was a break in...I will have to read more about it, but I thought it was an attempted robbery.

If the person is a good football player.. it really doesnt matter. He can be a gang member and sure he could do some really bad stuff, but usually they just get fined a couple thousand... nothing compared to their salary. I guess you really do not know where to get it through to them, you can not really hurt them through their pocket books, they already have a lot of money.

iight im not sayin that you are wrong about there bein gang members in the NFL im jus gonna say that the NFL cant really tell people they cant be in it jus bcuz they were or are in a gang. If the Team Owner or whoeva does the scouting likes how a person plays and thinks he's goin to help them win games, he's going to ask a person to be on that team reguardless of there background. Now about the part jus because there from the hood they wont change and they are a "Thug Gangster" thats bullshit, im sorry. Imma keep it real im from The Hood born n raised, so does that mean im a gang member 2??? i seen how ppl are in the hood, theres some that ARE gang members so they go the easy way in life and try and get famous by going to the NFL or gettin a Rap Career or a NBA career...Then there are some that grew up in the hood and when they go get a real job (besides the NFL) they get judged jus bcause who they are n where there from so they try that to actually try and change there life and make sumthyn of themselves and prove to ppl that jus cuz your from the hood you can b sum1...then theres also people who are gang members but have no choice but 2 be in because they coulda been born into meaning there mom or dad is into it...so yea don judge nobody jus cuz wut U think happened to him coulda been gang related is tru cuz its not...read up on ur shyt listen 2 the news or sumthyn cuz wut happened was dis A day earlier, Taylor and his girlfriend were awakened by loud noises, according to family friend Richard Sharpstein, who learned the details from Taylor's girlfriend, Jackie Garcia. He said Taylor grabbed a machete he keeps in the bedroom for protection. Someone then broke through the bedroom door and fired two shots, one missing and one hitting Taylor, Sharpstein said. Neither Taylor's daughter, Jackie, nor Taylor's girlfriend were injured in the attack. ....so yea pay more attention 2 shyt next time b4 u judge sum1
