How can I get in perfect defensive shape for high school varsity football?

  • I am a junior this year and I am looking to play football next year as a senior. I want to play defensive linebacker or safety. I am 5'11 and weigh about 200lbs. My strength and speed I know are too low so I need a strict plan to get them much better to keep up with the other kids who have been playing football since freshman year. My goal is to be a hitting machine and fast as hell. I have weights at home but I need a weekly schedule with diet, workout, and speed training. I have until June 09 to get in perfect shape. Any help much appreciated.
