Why do People hate the Miami Heat?BQ?

  • I mean sure they are not my favorite team anymore, but I don't hate them. What did they do wrong? BQ: BQ:Am I a Bandwagon Fan? People don't like the Miami Heat because of all of the arrogant players. You are the biggest bandwagon fan I've ever seen. In fact I believe you are the definition of a bandwagon fan. Pick a team and stick with them. I don't understand how you can be a fan of a team one year and rooting for their opponent the year after.

Part of it is jealousy, part of it is the feeling that the Heat tried to "buy" a championship when they signed Chris Bosh and Lebron James. The sitution was most likely made worse by James televising his decision on an ESPN program specifically designed for his decision. At that point, certain members of the Heat (and fans) insinuated that winning the NBA championship was a given. Therefore many were glad to see them lose to the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA finals. As for being a bandwagon fan, yes it appears you are one. In fairness to you, I think the NBA has more bandwagon fans than most sports because teams have only 5 starters. So over the years I've seen people cheer for teams due to specific players (Magic Johnson-Lakers, Larry Bird-Celtics, Michael Jordan-Bulls, Shaq-Magic, Kobe Bryant-Lakers, James-Heat, etc.) But you have the right to cheer for whomever you like, so don't let other people get to you.
