Why do we have seasons?

Why are Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and Amare Stoudemire all having career low seasons?

I find it weird how all 3 of these guys are all having career low seasons statistically since their rookie years. Look at this Amare Stoudemire last 3 years: 2008-09: 21.4ppg, 8.1 Reb, 2 assist, 54 FG% 2009-10: 23.1PPG, 8.9 Reb, 1 Assist, 56 FG% 2010-11: 25.3 PPG, 8.2 Reb, 2.6 Assist, 50 FG% This Season: 17.7PPG, 7.9 Reb, 1.2 Assist, 46 FG% Carmelo Anthony last 3 years: 2008-09: 22.8 PPG, 6.8 Reb, 3.4 Assist, 44 FG% 2009-10: 28.2 PPG, 6.6 Reb, 3.2 Assist, 46 FG% 2010-11: 25.6 PPG, 7.3 Reb, 2.9 Assist, 46 FG% This Season: 21.3 PPG, 5.9 Reb, 3.8 Assist, 40 FG% Dwyane Wade Last 3 years: 2008-09: 30PPG, 5 Reb, 7.5 Assist, 49 FG% 2009-10: 26.6 PPG, 4.8 Reb, 6.5 Assist, 48 FG% 2010-11: 25.5 PPG, 6.4 Reb, 4.6 Assist, 50 FG% This Season: 22.5 PPG, 4.4 Reb, 4.9 Assist, 50 FG% Why do you think this is? Slightly getting older? Bad individual seasons? Not being healthy? Other issues? Or just a coincidence?
Answer:

Amar'e = Injuries, death in the family, team chemistry. Melo = Injuries, team chemistry, wrong system for his skillset. Wade = Injuries.
