What are the best basketball shoes?

What's the best way to make basketball shoes "skid free"?

  • My daughter's basketball team seems to be plagued by slips on the court. It doesn't seem to matter who is wearing what for basketball shoes: old, new, Nike, And1, they all seem to slip the same on away courts! Some of us parents have tried spraying AquaNet on the soles, because that's what one team parent told us to, but it didn't work (maybe we used the wrong kind?). Anyway, I'm looking for ideas on how to keep them from slipping at crucial moments during the game...any ideas?

  • Answer:

It is most likely the court. If it is dirty/dusty, the dirt or dust sticks to the bottom of the shoe, making it loose traction. Try just talking a wet cloth and wiping the bottom of the shoe before the game. If that doesn't work, use that Sole Roller. It's almost like a lint roller but it's for shoes. I used to have one and it worked really well.

Its the courts. Believe me the people that own the courts do not even care about them.
