What does the manager for a high school basketball team do?

• I love basketball, and am friends with the players, and am well known with the coach. I couldn't play this year because of some knee problems, so i thought about being the manager Im a senior if it matters, but what does the manager do, and should i be the manager or is it point less

  At my school, the manager usually runs the clock, washes jerseys, and small jobs (for example: printing papers, racking balls etc.). stuff like that. I would be a manager because I love the game too, but unless you have another person being a manager with you, it would probably be boring, or discouraging, just sitting there watching all your friends play while your on the sideline with an injury. But if you just want to be in the atmosphere, then I'd say go for it.
