Who should I start as my extra player?

If you could start your own Team with any one player who would it be?

  • like say the NBA had a fantasy type draft, and u were the owner of ur favorite team and u had the first pick of anybody in the NBA to start ur team with, who would you choose now, i know that Kobe and Lebron will b 95% of the answers i get, but here is why i wouldn't choose either of them. -Kobe is 30, and i'd wan't a team that could win now and in the future, and he would b too old for me Lebron is great but i just don't really care for the guy, and i think there is ONE guy that can dominate more than him Id pick Dwight Howard. No Centers dominate nowdays like they used to except for him. yes he has no go-to post move, and needs alot of post help, but he is the strongest, most athletic big man in the NBA. I could find a scoring SF (not as good as lebron, but good enough) but you don't just go and find a dominating center nowdays, they are almost impossible too find. Thats y i wud pick D12, Who would you pick?

    It would have to be Howard. There is a greater abundance of talent at every other position. Shaq changed the centre position entirely, dominant big men chose to play the PF position and let the lesser talented big men get battered and bruised by Shaq night in, night out. Dwight is the only big man to have come along since Shaq entered the league that could be considered a franchise player. However, he's either not fully listening to Ewing as his mentor or Ewing is not communicating his knowledge properly with Dwight. His offensive game needs a hell of a lot of work. I would love to see Hakeem mentor Howard, then i think we'd be looking an a true centre, reminiscent of the superstar centres of the past.

I would pick Chris Paul Because he's young and he's showed improvement every year. You need somebody that can run a team and even though Good Centers are rare I have never seen a Center Run a Team.

I would pick Deron Williams He is a combo guard who excels on both 1 and 2 guard positions. He has everything you want in a PG. He can play at any pace too. He is a natural leader. He does things when needed and necessary. I would build an athletic team around him with much shooters. The bench would focus mostly on shooting and or defense while the starting five will exhibit pace, athleticism, and explosiveness. Amare Stoudemire will be his Tag Team Duo. With Williams' PG skills combined with STAT's offense, they will be unstoppable. Garcia and Thornton will be hustle players that will do good on shooting, defense, and slashing. The team will have decent height and weight.
