Why do people considered Kobe Bryant the best all-around player in the NBA?

I didn't bother to read that giant wall of text. People have their opinions, and they are entitled to it. Just because some people think Kobe is the best, doesn't mean he IS the best. Same with Wade and Lebron. To me though, Kobe is still a little bit above Lebron and Wade right now. He just knows more. 13 year NBA vet compared to Lebron's 6 years.

this year lebron n wade were stat freaks. cavs cant function without lebron. cavs would be terrible without lebron. lakers would win more games without kobe then cavs would without lebron. if kobe didnt have a better team then hed be a stat freak like wade n lebron. but since he does have a good team it takes the pressure off him to do those things (assist/block/steal.) he may not have as many steals or blocks but he still defends better.

I really hope that you did not actually take the time to enter in whatever is above, but without reading any of it I would say that you are a Wade fan who is upset because you did not make it past the first round and he got nothing to boast about except scoring points. Allthe people who sit around and compare players are usually nutts. Most who really do would say that it is Bron who is the best right now. At least I will give you some credit in that you are not bringing in someone from the past to compare.

I think he is a great player, but LeBron James handsdown is the best player in the NBA. He is a better all around player than anybody else in the NBA. Look at the Cavs they are nothing without him.

Ok im sorry too much to read How is he the best all-around player in the NBA when he mostly focus more on scoring the ball than anything else? Some night, he'll give you 8+ assists, and some night he'll give you just 2+ assists...He only play defense when he wanted too..But he's always active offensively, he never took a night off on the offensive end...A best all-around player should always be active all-around, an all-around player will be a scorer, playmaker, defender, leader night in and night out for his team efficiently..I think Kobe Bryant is clearly the best offensive player of all time, he's capable of creating his on shot better than anyone in the NBA, but other than that he's mostly inconsistent on other categories, you're not going to get a 30+ points, 8+ assists, 5+ reb, 2+ stl, 2Blk from Kobe night in and night out..But you will always get a 30+ points Kobe Bryant night in and out, it's guarantee..I feel like LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are the truly best all-around player in the NBA, yes they're not as great as Kobe on the offensive, but offense is not everything..They set the tone for their teams in all categories, you can say they are stats padders or whatever you want to call them but they definitely try to do everything possible for their teams..I watched mostly all of the Lakers games this season, and there were nights where Kobe only wants to score the ball and left his teammates to try to figure out how to stop opposing teams on the defensive end..A great leader like LeBron James or Dwyane Wade would go to their teammates and say "We need to work on this together"..But Kobe would left his teammates to do the dirty works on the defensive end, while he would put all his mind on the offensive end...It's no secret Kobe is truly one of the best players of all-time, but he focused mostly on trying to be the best offensive player of all time...He broke so many scoring records, but has he ever been one of those players to get 2,000 points, 500 assists, 500 rebounds in one season? Jordan has done it, LeBron has done it 4 times..We all know he's terrific defender, but does he bring it night in and night out? I really hate it when people say LeBron or D-Wade are filling the stats sheet when they put up their all-around numbers, but they ignored the fact the Kobe filled the scoring sheet night in and night out..Scoring is part of stats as well, if other players gets criticized for putting their effort by leading their teams in all aspects of the game, than Kobe should definitely get criticized for scoring so many points while doing so little on other ends...Micheal Jordan was a great offenisve threat as well, but after his fourth year in the NBA, he was trying to lead his team in every aspects night in and night out, he wanted to be the first guy to play defense so his teammates could follow..All i can say is, Kobe is definitely one of the top clutch players in the NBA, but that still doesn't make him an all-around player..That just make him a complete offensive threat, there are good scorers in the NBA, but they're not so good at clutch situation..Kobe has the total package on the offensive end, but offense is only part of the game of basketball..He's a full time offensive player, and a part time defender, facilitator, leader..LeBron on the other end is a full time offensive player, full time defender (He did that doing the regular season), facilitator, and leader..You can't be a great all-around player when you just putting all your focus on offense,...Call me whatever you want, but LeBron and Wade are the truly best all-around players in the NBA, you can add Chris Paul as well..

i didn't read the whole thing. he's the best all around when he turns on his D though, like when he plays a good team. he feels the challenge
