Where To Watch Ku Basketball Online?

Do people who watch College Basketball tend to know more about basketball?

  • Ive noticed people that say they dont watch college basketball dont know as much about the game as people who do. In watching college basketball you also get to see these young talents before they ever wear an NBA jersey. To me college basketball is more exciting and I enjoy talking about it more than the NBA. There is nothing like the upsets, the school pride, the cinderellas, and the NCAA Tournament. Im not saying people that dont watch college dont know anything about basketball Im just saying the college fans that post on here know more than just the NBA fans. During the NCAA Tournament this site was really fun to post on and the people here were alot more intelligent. Im a big NCAA basketball fan though Do people who watch College Basketball tend to know more about basketball? BQ: What are your 2 favorite college basketball teams?

  • Answer:

People who follow the college game closely as well as the NBA would probably know more about the players at both levels, as opposed to people who follow the NBA more than college. The college game changes so quickly now because the good players don't stay for more than a year. If you think about the Olympic Dream team in '92, every one of those guys except Magic Johnson played at least 3 years in college, Magic played two. (Bird 3 yrs plus redshirt, Jordan 3 years, Ewing 4 years, Robinson 4 years, Barkley 3 years, Mullin 4 years, Laettner 4 years, Pippen 4 years, Stockton 4 years, K. Malone 3 years Drexler 3 years) In those days, you could get used to players having 3 and 4 year rivalries with other players... that doesn't happen any more. It's actually pretty easy to lose track of college guys now because the ones that leave early go high in the draft to crappy teams and you never see them again...at least, it seems that way. But, I think it's probably true that the vast majority of NBA fans are also college fans, while there are a lot of college fans who don't really follow the NBA. I don't think you can make a generalization about pro fans and college fans though... any fan that takes the time to learn about the game, its history and its players can do so. I'm guessing you probably know more people who are big time college fans, which can sway your thinking in this area. But good job being a Scarlet Knights fan!! Forget them Tar Heels, lol...they just got lucky last year... and in 2005...and in 1993....and in 1982...and especially in 1957! Rutgers just never gets the lucky bounces, that's all. We'd have been national champions every year if we could just recruit lol

No offense, but even though I think you lack intelligence in College Basketball (judging by your other question). I agree that College Basketball fans have a better grasp of the game than a guy that just watches the Overhyped NBA. I'm a huge UCLA fan, been following them since the mid 90's when they had Reggie Miller, and late 90's when they had Baron Davis. Good question, here's a STAR. BQ: UCLA and....UCLA. True College fans only have One school and stay loyal.

Why thank you.

It seems that assumption is probably true, but nevertheless, it is a blanket statement. I think a conclusion would best be reached by conducting a poll on who watches college basketball, but then again that would still invovle your opinion on who knows about basketball and who doesn't. I know some people who watch College Basketball who have no clue what they are talking about, but in most cases, NCAA ball helps to round one's basketball knowledge. BQ: Longhorns and Tar Heels.

Hmm I could agree and say the people here tend to be smarter when they are NCAA fans since you really cant be fake with that knowledge. I do agree there are some things the NCAA has that the NBA lacks. UCLA fan, I really wanna make that my alma mater.

well people who play nba bball no more bout it

PAVY-7

Its an assumption but i guess its possible. The NBA revolves more around the players, media, etc while the NCAA is just exciting basketball. BQ:Personally i really dont have a fav NCAA team,i just like to watch march madness and then root for a team there, this year a rooted for connecticut

The Chosen One

everbody is different i enjoy the nba more when it comes to regular season but march madness is awsome nothing like it huge upstes and always buzzer beaters. and its also special because its a once in a life time oppurtunity winning a national championship your only young for so long.

it doesn't do Me any good but then, I ONLY watch NCAA. I stopped watching the NBA years ago although, on the rare occasion that the BOBCATS are on T.V., I will tune in.
