Are the Rockets better off without Yao Ming?

If you are the Rockets GM, what would you do with Yao Ming?

  • He is obviously a talented player and one of the better big man in this league, but this is the 4th time he has gone out with an season ending injury. If it was just 1 or 2 times, you say ok that's just bad luck, but 4 times is a trend. So if you are the Rockets GM would you continue to built around Yao and knowing he might just give you half a season likely not the playoff or would you blow the Rockets up completely and rebuild? BQ: So far, are the Lakers the most inconsistent team in the playoff?? BQ2: Laker fans, are you concerned that we are still trying to figure out our rotation this late in the playoff? BQ3: Why isn't Phil giving Bynum more minutes? BQ4: All hating aside, does Boston have a heart of a champion or what, this is like the 4th time I have seen them come back from the 4th quarter with their defense. BQ5: Does Paul Pierce have the best pump fake in the NBA, it's like he is a professional actor or something.

I would keep him if i was the GM so i dnt lose my job lol but as a fan (which im not) i would campaign for a trade because he gets injured every year BQ: the lakers are very consistent. they show up for the good teams like sweeping the cavs and celtics and dnt show up for the bad teams like themselves getting sweept by the BOBCATS..a houston team without YAO is just like the lakers to not show up..look at the talent difference without yao and tmac..i saw it coming a mile a away..i just didnt think they would NOT show up the entire game BQ2: the rotation is easy..bynum is hurt nd not playing well at least against YAO before he got injured so phil had him come off the bench..u have shannon brown come off with odom nd vujacic. fisher is getting outplayed by aaron brooks so farmar is getting more minutes as you can see during game 5..fisher will match up better with chauncey billups or jason kidd. BQ3: hes not playing well and there is no need for him to be in there if hes not helping the team. he should use the time to rest. its not like the lakers need his size anymore playing a team with NOT one player listed over 6'10 BQ4: yes that celtic pride is crazy..im starting to think orlando is garbage but i do think they would be better in the 4th with jameer nelson running the show BQ5: he draws alot of fouls in that mid range area with that step back pump fake..wades is pretty good too tho

keep him.. he's the reason why they are even in the playoffs. People do have faith in players.. why is Peja still playing? A.I? I can keep naming but i'll stop. I don't care much about you're other questions. ;) I'm gonna go sleep. Good game. Even though the Rockets lost very bad I still think it was a great effort and Lakers is and was the better team. Good luck Rockets in game 6 and maybe 7

Let's just say that the Rockets need a back up plan. They need a legit center that is willing and ready to back up Yao. This may mean pay cuts, trades, etc. But if they intend to keep Yao, they need to make sure that the interest of the rest of the team is met. The Rockets are playoff material and they need a center who will be healthy enough to help carry them. BQ: Idk. IMO yes! Way too inconsistent for comfort. When they are good, they are just amazing! And when they are bad, it's disgusting. But if they can manage to win this series, I'll be cool. BQ2: A little bit. We have talent, skill, and hunger but that means nothing if we can't get it together and play as a team. The last game was just yuck. That was not my team out there, it just wasn't. BQ3: Idk, but he needs to stop. Bynum needs more minutes and he needs them asap. BQ4: Yes, they are the reigning champs and they shouldn't be underestimated. Good for them. BQ5: lol i guess.

Oh You Mad Cuz I'm Stylin On Ya?

I'd keep him. BQ: No, I don't like the way Orlando plays. They are really sloppy and they just piss me off. BQ2: ...umm? BQ3: Phil is hurting Bynum psychologically. BQ4: Hell yea, their going to win it in 6 or 7. BQ5: One of the best. He does it a lot.

I would keep him, no doubt. He is 7'6 and a great offensive Center. I think they are a much better team with him in the lineup. BQ1: Yes BQ2: Not really, when we want to play, we are arguably the best team in the league. We beat Cle both times this season, so if we meet in the Finals, I'm pretty confident we can beat them. BQ3: I'm not sure, he might still be kinda sore and he isn't telling the media about it. BQ4: Yes, they do. That's why they won last year. They got that heart from their team leader, Garnett. BQ5: No, I think Kobe's is slightly better.

Yao should just be let healed completely. I think he wasn't. BQ1: I would say they are somewhat. They need to be better at adjusting to adjustments of the other team. BQ2: No. I think they pretty much got it down. The only thing I see they need to work on is consistent shooting, especially on the 3's. BQ3: Bynum is still a little hurt, so he's letting him heal up more. The should have done this with Yao, but they didn't so that's why Yao is sitting on the bench with a suit on. BQ4: They certain are fighting for it, but I do not think they can win against the Cavs with a key man short. I still think the Magic will take this to game 7. BQ5: Certain does! He's a good all around player.

trade him to the pistons!

No keep Yao in my opinion and give up Mcgrady they play just aswell if not better without him, I can't say the same for Yao as they obviously need him. He is prone to injury though. BA: Yes but they will still beat the Rockets and probably advance to the Finals. BA 2: Not a Laker fan BA 3: Phil is a funny guy BA 4: Yes they are determined and I really hope they can pull it off, unfourtunatley Cleveland will most likeley be the end of the road. BA 5: He's a great fundamental player who gets the job done.

You dont trade yao he and howard are the 2 best centers in the nba because he has been so injury prone the rockets need to sign or draft a big man that can score on the block and back yao up ......if the rockets are going to trade an injury prone star it will be t-mac. right about the lakers but that's my team so it is what it is. The bench has been inconsistent all year but I expect brown to play more and walton to play less. phil is playing him in spurts which is smart and really the rockets bigs are all to quick for him to be on the floor major minutes. If the lakers played like the celtics with their talent they would sweep through the playoffs. yeah no doubt pierce has the best pump fake in the nba.
