Why do people say the Yankees buy their Championships? how is that so? aren't Professional Sports teams?

People say the Yankees buy their championships for a few reasons - 1. They have the biggest payroll in the MLB (about 200 Million $) 2. They have the most world series titles (27) 3. They have the best players with the biggest contracts (for example A-Rod - 10 year deal - about 275 Million $ biggest in MLB history)

they get that becuz of the money they offer FA compared to other teams but teams like the red sox and phillies spend a lot but dnt get as much hate nd the rangers nd the yankees traded for rodriguez nd they got swisher in a trade from the white sox as a low risk high reward trade nd it worked out more then they expected also the yankees may buy there players but they cnt buy championships those players go out nd win the championship

Don't pay attention to those hypocrites out there because some of the same ignorant people saying that are the same supporters of other teams that spends money and trade for talent like the Phillies, Red Sox and others. Unfortunately, alot of people tend to overlook those teams because of their jealousy towards the Yankees and the fact that the Yankees are always competitive year in and year out because their front office happens to invest more money into them than other teams' owners could ever do for their team. It's not the Yankees fault that other teams' owners choose to pocket their money and throw a crappy roster on the field each year and expect fans to watch and support them. People need to stop hating on the Yankees and light a fire under their respective teams' front offices to get them to spend more money on their own teams. Maybe if those fans and supporters of other teams could do something similar to what the protesters at Wall Street are doing, then perhaps they could get the attention of their teams' front office to do MORE for their franchise. If that were to happen, then maybe those same fans can stop hating on the Yankees so much.

People who think this is ignorant and Red Sox fans who accuse the Yankees of doing this are hypocritical Every owner has money, it's a matter of which ones are willing to spent and which ones aren't. For example, look at the Marlins. They were "poor" all these years, but now that they have a new stadium, they're pulling money out of their rear end and offering Reyes and Pujols large contracts.

The Red Sox and Phillies are 10 times worse than the Yankees in the free agent market. The Yankees get singled out because of their success which comes in large part from their own system. Every player in their dynasty core was a system player and every player in the current core is either a system player or a trade acquisition. The Yankees don't rely nearly as much on free agents as the unwashed masses would have you believe.

In some ways they do. But what some people don't get is that to be the best, you have to have the best. Now does this always work out? not all the time. There is always that possibility that there will be injury, the players not willing to work on playing in a new stadium, and sometimes players have fluke years. Just because they may have been good for one team doesn't mean that they will continue to perform well with a new team.

b/c they go trolling around looking for the best player on every team that they can buy. Swicher was the best player on Oakland so they bought him. A-Roid was the best player in Texas, so they bought him... CC, TExeriera etc, need i go on?

Because Yankees have money to spend. Of course nobody talks about the Red Sox and the Phillies spending money because Yankees won the most championships.

I think Jandy hit the nail on the head of exactly what the Red Sox and Phillies have been doing the past few years.
