When is the new season of Cold Case starting?

Will the Yankees end the season with 100 wins?

  • I know this question has been asked in a variety of ways lately by different people in different forms. But this is specifically for Yankee fans and 'non-haters'. But I wanted to break it down and get your take on winning 100 and getting home field throughout, except the world series, in the NL park: With 28 games to go: Projection: 3 vs Jays (Yankees up 7-3 in 8th) Yanks win 2/3 3 vs orioles Yanks win 2/3 3 vs Texas Yanks win 2/3 3 vs Rays Rays win 2/3 3 vs Orioles Yanks win 3/3 4 vs Rays Yanks split with Rays 2/4 3 vs Red Sox Red Sox win 2/3 3 vs Jays Yanks win 2/3 3 vs Red Sox to end the season Yanks win 2/3 = 28 Yanks win 17/28 So if they win 17/28 to close the season out, that would give them 101 wins, which begs the question: How many will the Rays win, and will they win the season series in case the season ends in a tie of 101 wins? By getting these 17 wins, will Pettitte be a a part of any of that? Will it contribute to Hughes getting 20 wins? Will AJ Burnett snap out of it? And will the bullpen get even stronger, with Vasquez sent down there, along with the other guys, Mitre, Robertson, Jaba, (Nova, Moseley starting), K Wood, Gaudin, Logan, and Aceves if he comes back?

  • Answer:

They just won again, their 7th straight. The fact of the matter is that the guys are all in sync with each other, Nova and Moseley are doing well to bail out AJ, who played well the other day and he got a win as well. Javier is playing better from the BP and the long relief guys are doing great. You don't win 85 games with 27 to go in the strongest, most difficult division in baseball without being an amazing team top to bottom. If the starters aren't doing it, the bullpen is getting it done. The wins prove it. There is no getting around the fact that SOMEBODY is getting the wins for the Yankees, as much as people tear apart the Yankees pitching, they DID win 85 games so far. Of the last 27, even if they split and win 50/50 they'll have 99-100 games. 6 are against the O's which should be a cakewalk, the Yankees trampled over them all year long. They have a winning record against the Rangers who were much stronger the last meetings with the Yankees than they are now. Besides Rangers fans should thank the Yankees for sweeping the As in 4 games and keeping the Rangers up there. Honestly - there you're not going to hear from Yankee fans that really understand the game that they're not going to have at least another 14-5 wins on the year at the least. The 6 games against the Red Sox -- they are not the strong Red Sox that they once were. The only real challenge here is with the Rays -- and I'm happy if they Yankees even win 3 out of 7 while the Yankees play excellent against the other teams. No matter how you look at it though, they're NOT losing more than 15 of the last 27 games. That's ridiculous -- almost a 'breakdown'. I don't care what anyone says, they played against some real tough teams throughout the year and have done fine, and they're only getting better with the new pitchers playing beautifully. Only Yankee haters want the Yankees to 'break down' and implode during the last month. Well, I got news for you, they are the furthest thing from imploding. The WILL win the AL East title. Period. End of Conversation. Next!

The Yanks are my fav. team so I would like for them to break 100 wins for the 2nd consecutive season personally I would like for them to win like 20 more if they can and I think the Rays will be out of it when there series comes to face the Yanks. People need to forget about Hughes getting the 20 wins and think ahead can they win more games? AJ already snapped out of it after helping to win last night Bullpen is strong enough with Joba I mean he was a starter last year and he has some good pitches I think Aceves will not be the key for the Yanks making it to the playoff's I think the startes and the bullpen (not Aceves) they need Mariano Rivera to close the games and get them to the playoff's

They're the only ones that do, I believe!

the yanks will get 100 wins no doubt. They just need to win 1/2 their remaining games. if they can't do that, i don't know what else to say....

No they will not. The Yankees schedule is harsher than the Rays. The Yankees played the majority of their cupcake games already and will hit a last week and a half that will be tough. The Rays have the easier road to 100 and will likely take the division because of it. I'd say Marc is probably one of the few Yankees fans who actually recognizes that. That figure is more likely.

I Live in NY, Im a Yankee fan. But that is a very difficult schedule, especially those Tampa games. They will end up very close to 100. Id estimate around 96-99

Marc

Yeah, if they don't play AJ.
