  • Im in the mood for a survey, I'll eventually stop doing the surveys after a while. For some reason, I like doing surveys. :) 1.Who's your favorite player? 2.Why is this person your favorite player? 3. Have you ever met this person? 4.Have you ever written a letter to this person and they responded? 5.Do you own a shirt with your favorite player's name and number on the back? 6.Do you own any memorabilia signed by this person? 7.What is their walk up song? 8. Have you seen games when your favorite player was starting? 9. What's a random fact about your favorite player? 10.Has your favorite player been in any commercials, magazines etc? 11. If you had the chance to interview your favorite player.. what would you ask him? 12. What defensive play stands out in your mind that your favorite player has done? And here is some BQ's questions regarding your least favorite player 1.Who is your least favorite player & why? 2. If this player joined your team, how would you react? Sorry for asking so many questions, This topic just required many questions/answers Im guessing :)

  • Answer:

    1. The second basemen of the Boston Red Sox, Dustin Pedroia. 2. He's a great guy and a player who always gives 110%. He struggled a lot in his 1st full year in '07 but persevered to have a great season, and since then has been one of the biggest reasons for the Sox' success the past few years. Not to mention he's probably one of the most charismatic, personable guys in baseball right now. He had a weekly appearance on WEEI radio during the off-season and he's absolutely hilarious. Some people thinks he comes off as cocky but his 'trash-talking' isn't serious; people here understand that he's a jokester who just likes to have fun and enjoy life to its fullest, and we love him for it. Seriously he's arguably the most popular player on the team for the last couple seasons. He's just an all-around entertaining player and person. 3. No, god, I wish!! He was right in front of me before the last Sox game I went to when I was standing in the seats behind the dugout before the game. But he wouldn't have heard if I tried to talk to him, there were like a thousand people vying for his attention. 4. Nope. 5. Yup! 6. No. 7. I'm not sure, I think I've heard it on the radio a few times but don't recall the name. 8. I've attended 5 games when he was starting. 9. From the radio -- he and his baby son once played catch with the baby monitor at 3 in the morning. Dustin had to keep correcting Dylan who was "throwing" left-handed, haha. He wants him to be a second basemen too I guess =P 10. Yep, he's been in all the Sullivan Tire commercials on NESN, as well as the infamous MLB '09 The Show promo commercials, where he tries to insist he can hit the high and inside fastball. =P 11. That's a good question. I've read his biography so I know about his early life and coming up to the majors. I'd ask him more about that as well as personal questions, like about his crazy adventures with his buddy Andre Ethier. 12. Made a great play to preserve Clay Buchholz's no-hitter in 2007. He plays well gives good defense every though. He's a dirt dog. =) BQ1: Alex Rodriguez. Seems like a jerk. Bad friend. Arrogant. Cheater, on AND off the field. BQ2: I wouldn't be happy at all. I'm actually glad he didn't come to the Sox. I don't want a guy like that on my team, no matter how talented he is (I know, I sound very stupid. But thats how I feel) Don't apologize, it was a great survey!! The more questions, the better =)

1. Oh man, I've got so many. If I had to chose one, I guess Michael Young 2. He's been a fixture for the past decade with the Rangers and he plays full effort every night. Helping the team each and every way and he's got a humorous personality. 3. No, I haven't 4. No, I've never written letters to baseball players. 5. Yes, I've got a t-shirt and a replica jersey. 6. Unfortunately no 7. "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys 8. Yes, cause he is a starter. 9. He's Mexican-American 10. Locally, Michael has but he doesn't get much public attention. 11. What was the defining moment of your career? or How well do you get along with the other guys in the clubhouse? I apologize for the broad questions, couldn't think of anything else. 12. Well, Michael Young made plenty in 2008 at shortstop but I don't think there's one defining moment in my mind. BQ: 1. Mark Teixeira. Seemed nice and classy in the beginning but he turned out to be nothing but an arrogant jerk who didn't give a damn about the team and gambled for the money elsewhere. 2. I would never want Tex back in a Rangers uni. He caused enough misery for these guys in the end. I'm happy to see him rubbing his arrogant smile elsewhere. It was a lot of questions, but you gave me a lot to think about.

" I feel like I can go another 9 innings." 11. I may get the chance soon and we will talk about the importance of work ethic and how to instill that in youth 12. He beat Robin Ventura up after he charged the mound. That's great defense. Least favorite player is Manny Ramirez because of his attitude. Great player though Because I'm a pitcher I would hit him as much as possible lol

1. I have a lot, but I'll go with Robby Cano 2. He's my favorite because he plays 2nd, which is what I play. Also, I think he's just a great player. 3. Unfortunately no. I'd LOVE to some day though. 4. Nope. 5. Yes I do. A jersey. 6. Nope, not by Cano. But I do have a baseball signed by another one of my favorites, Mark Teixeira 7. I honestly have no idea what his current walk up song is. 8. Yup, a few 9. Cano lived a few weeks as a newborn baby without a name due to his parents arguing over what to name him. Is that random enough? lol 10. Yeah, I believe so. 11. Hmmm, there's way too many to choose from. Maybe I'd ask him if he wants to spend his entire career as a yankee. 12. His double play throws to first. BQs 1. In all baseball? Papelbon because he seems very cocky. On the Yankees? Joba Chamberlain because he acts cocky also. 2. If Papelbon joined the Yankees I'd definitely be upset.

1. I have a few, but I will choose Dustin Pedroia for this :) 2. He works so hard. People always told him that because of his short height he wouldn't be able to be in the majors. Instead of letting that get to his head, Dustin used it as motivation. It admire that so much. 3. Siiiigh. No, but I hope to someday. 4. I would if I had an address, haha. 5. I do have a Pedroia #15 jersey which I wear alot at game time 6. Not yet 7. According to http://www.thebaseballlife.com/2009/04/walk-out-songs.html, it is F*** wit Dre. Siiigh. Dustin, Dustin, Dustin >.< 8. Yes. My only 2 Red Sox games I have attended he has started in! 9. Before being drafted by the Red Sox, he had only been to Boston once, and he had an injured eye, so he couldn't see well at the time, and he thought everyone talked funny. (Says so in Born to Play, his book) 10. The Sullivan Tire commercials <3 His parents worked in a tire store actually when he was a kid, btw :P 11. How did it feel to acheive your dream that many people told you would never happen? 12. All his dives. 1. A Rod. Doesn't seem to have much respect for the game of baseball. 2. Scream :O
