Even the Japanese during WW2 when their war cry of "To hell with Babe Ruth" was shouted as they charged the Americans. Babe Ruth played with the minor league Baltimore Orioles, signed by the Boston Red Sox, sold to the New York Yankees, and then retired with the Boston Braves. He was a starting pitcher and an outfielder who hit 714 home runs.
