Would you rather watch your team on their local channel?
-
Y'know, instead of Fox or ESPN or TBS? Cause I'd rather watch the Red Sox on NESN. That's why I pay for it! lol. So, do you have a preference?

Answer:
Yep. I prefer watching Yankees games on YES. Seems whenever the games are on ESPN or Fox, they spend half their time talking about the Yankees' payroll, A-Rod's supposed "lack of clutch" or when the Steinbrenner family is going to say something. It's like clockwork. And I've only watched one Yanks-Sox game on NESN. Wasn't bad, but give me Kay, Singleton and Cone over Don and the Rem-Dawg.

Hmm, let's see Joe Morgan or the Remdawg..... No contest, Remdawg all the way!
Maybe I'm Amazed
I would much rather watch my team's local broadcast than FOX or ESPN. Joe Buck can make a walk off grand slam sound like a routine play.

I would rather watch the Sox on NESN, but there is something to be said for national broadcasts. I like getting an unbiased view of my team....in moderation. I also like to watch the Sox on Yes when they play the Bombers(an apt nickname this season, don't you think?). Especially when they are kicking the snot out of them. I love listening to Michael Kay cry!

I rather watch the Yankees on Yes Network myself. While i was on vacation a few weeks ago i got to see the NESN Channel. I'll admit it wasn't bad.
I'd rather watch them on the local channel. The broadcasters know the team more than a national one. They are on the road with them and interact with them throughout the whole season. The pregame and post-game coverage is always the best with local broadcasts.

I like to watch the Reds on FSN. It's fun to see them every now and then on National TV, that's where I have to get the Braves now since TBS cut them off. I like the Reds' broadcasters .. of course except for Jeff Brantley.. plus you get to see people you might know cheering!

no one beats Don and Jerry... that's the only way I put up with living in lame New England with all these damn yuppies and snobs.

I'd rather listen to Vin Scully on the radio than watch a Dodger game on most "national" broadcasts. I used to like Buck/McCarver quite a bit until I heard them do a couple Dodger games on Fox...Some of the stuff they said seemed to indicate a total lack of homework. I know a lot of people get annoyed by Jon Miller and Joe Morgan on ESPN, but at least they seem to know the back-stories regarding the teams playing.

I just don't like ESPN, as long as the game is not on ESPN I am fine (I listen to the radio while watching the game anyways). ESPN to me is a piss poor national sports channel and it is funny that their target audience would rather watch NESN and the YES Network. ESPN sucks.
