Can you share some tips on how I can preserve my collection of paintings?

Why some people (usually women) don't share their useful methods, skills or tips with others?

• There are many people who keep unnecessary secret about their art, skills or about the method of any achievement they got. But what it takes from them if they share it with people, they deliberately do it & manipulate others when they are ask. Why do they do that? I agree that an artist has a right to keep his/her art secret, so I won't blame such artists. But there are people who don't even share tips or skills that can be useful for others & they don't even have strong reason to hide it, they just do it out of jealousy of just to maintain their self-importance, this is what I guess, you give your opinions as to why such people do this and what do u think about it. I can tell you some examples. I have a cousin who reduced so much weight, when I saw her, I asked her how she did that as I was too struggling with weight problem, but she hide it intentionally, won't tell me, she lie that she did it just by climbing stairs. I know shes lying & I came to know thru sources tht she had special diet and took some drugs. other example - my own sister, if she knows some recipie she will invite me to taste, but when I ask what is reicpie, she tries to turn the topic or misguide me about its real recipe. Not only this, she didn't even told me simple tip as to how to put phone on call waiting. She do it deliberately. In my office, I noticed my colleague whos also my friend having colorful gmail, when I saw that, I asked her, hey, my theme is simple white & blue, but your page appear attractive, what did u do, is there any settings. Now this cunning girl won't even share this simple tip, what it takes from her if she tells others abt it, she kept all colleagues in office wandering as to how her gmail page is attractive, she lied and fooled everyone that special computer is given to her by our head so in her comp, this facility is there in her system only, then she changed & said, actually the IT person of company had did this settings, but once I caught her changing settings and thats how I came to know. Problem then happens when this type of useless secretive games and useless little politics is played by friends, cousins, neighbours, family, etc. It hurts Forgot to mention, some women even keep secret abt their dresses & make-up too. If they're asked from whr they got such wonderful dress, or where do u get your haircut then they won't tell truth. Why they do this, maybe they have tactic understanding that what I have special if I share it to others then what will be special about me. They love to keep people around them wondering about them. This is ridiculous. Usually this behavior is common in women, while some men might do that too. When I was in school, one girl was dancing great, she bychance told that she is going to some dance class, so me and other girls asked her which dance class in the area she go and who teach her such steps, she bluntly told, why should I tell you?

  1' One word reply is "Human nature" which generally is selfish. and wish to hide what they knew. 2. A very few people are of this type and rest others give ideas more than that they know. They also convey the ideas had from others, though not practiced.
