What is the point in living?

• I'm not trying to sound all depressing or morbid here, but realistically, what is the point of living? Everyone in your whole life will die. You will die. Every single day of your life you must wake up knowing not only that it could be your last, but also that it could be the last of anyone who matters to you. Aside from dying, you or a loved one could be severely injured, sick, tortured, kidnapped, lost, etc. and there is nothing you can do about it. I know that people say life is a journey, but what is the point of a journey if in the end anything you gained from it will be lost and you will never reach a destination? Another thing people may say is that a pursuit of a dream gives meaning to life, but in reality, most dreams go unrealized and unaccomplished. The argument that life is a gift from God I just cannot comprehend either, I am very torn on my religious beliefs, but even so, just because it's a gift does not mean it is good or worth suffering for it. Because of my existential views, I just see other people's trivial concerns and past times to be so stupid and revolting that I cannot understand or function in normal society. The only point in life I see is love. Love is the really only wonderful thing in life, yet love is a catch 22 because by falling for it you just set yourself up for heartbreak. Love ends and so do the lives of people you love. I'm struggling here, because I don't see the point in existing each day knowing that in a hundred years I will be dead and forgotten, and leading up to my demise everything I do will eventually be meaningless. Even if I was the next Shakespeare, what about the people who live and die unremarkably? What was the point in their lives? So, honestly, what I am asking is: what do you think the point in life is? what gives your life meaning?

  It's honestly whatever you want it to be. It should about reaching your goals to make the most in your life.You create your future, you fulfill your dreams.Life is never easy. Struggles will undoubtedly be thrown your way. Many times it's impossible to dodge them. However, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." You will learn many lessons throughout the course of your life. This shapes who you are. It builds character. Many of the most notable people in this world had rough childhoods. The ability to withstand life's hardships and struggles, will make you strong. It will make you brave. It will make you a leader.There's an unlimited number of lessons to be learned in life."Life is a beautiful struggle", no one said that it would be easy. It's a chain of events all linking together. Some days in your life will be good, while others not so much. All the links fit together. The short term picture may be a blur, but the big picture is a beautiful mosaic.
