What is alcohol?is that reducing agent or oxidising agent?

  • ia alcohol is neutral, acidic or basic?? And alcohol is oxidising agent or reducing agent??

  • Answer:

alcoho is a group of organic cmpounds charactrsed by presnce of one or more 'OH' grp. It can b both acidic nd basic... Ethanol(alchol we drink) is slightly basic due to presnce of more concntration of 'OH' grp. Tht y we acidify ethanol b4 drinking... I think, alcohol is an reducing agent bcz... It oxidises itself to ketone and ether Thus its possibly a REDUCING AGENT.
