Is fire possible without life?

Holy fire and the breathe of life?

  • fire usually happens with the absence of water (i.e. burning a piece of wood), but within a living animal it happens within water. the combustion of the hydrocarbons we eat is carried out in water. to further illistrate this if you stop the flow of O2(oxygen) to the body the C(carbon) builds up (i.e. a cigar ashes over and the fire goes out) and your fire goes out. your fire being the very chemical reaction that is your life. the CO2(carbon dioxide) that is exhaled is the bodies way of removing the ashes from combustion. so does this occur any where else in creation? water usually puts fire out.

  • Answer:

Uh, your question is miscategorized the metabolic process is not fire just because it shares a single characteristic interestingly the products of hydrocarbon combustion are CO2 + H2O If you get a 90% efficient furnace it will condense water in the exhaust stack
