Why is it important to know if technology is vice or virtue? What would technology teach us about ourselves?

I was asked to answer these questions. To fully understand the importance of technology and it's use. But some questions that I have tried to look online has never been answered. so I was wondering if it was possible if any of you peoples would know the answer to this question before the 25th of august.
Answer:

Technology shows us human capabilities.It shows us what we can achieve if we fully use our mind which is the best gift of god to humankind.This makes us appreciate ourselves more.Besides that,technology is achieved by human through sharing of ideas whether directly or indirectly & this encourages others to come up with better ideas & new inventions that makes life more simpler for the human race. However,there are people who misuses technology,causes damage & take it for granted without thorough thinking.So,its up to each individual to make good use of technology and discover the importance of it.For me, technology is definitely a virtue.
