In a question i was asked to find the heat of combustion of carbon oxide.......they gave me the heat of formation of monoxide and carbon dioxide.

The equation is CO + 1/2 O2 -----> CO2 By subtracting the enthalpy of formation of CO from that of CO2, you will get the answer.
