Why do people use DIET coke and mentos to react instead of regular coke?

because once you do the little trick, you can't drink the soda, it ruins the taste. since diet coke already tastes like crap, you're not missing out on anything. it would be a waste of perfectly good liter of coke

Because Diet Coke has a lot more carbonation than regular Coke. So the you get bigger fountains.

good question... mentos has an anti oxidant that seperates saturated fat and sugar that triggers when it is mixed with caffene. there for keeping the caffene an separating sugar and fat. Diet cokes are sugarless and produce caffene still so wen u get it all together u get a fat free sugarless drink that still produces caffene. hope this helps!!!
