Can antidepressants cause genital numbness? Please help.? I have been on effexor for 3 months and STOPPED a year ago. Since then I find that my penis has become insensitive to sexual stimulation. I can still get erections, but the "sensations" are not the same. Any advice? Or has anyone experienced genital numbness with antidepressants or after stopping them? I'm worried my sensitivity will never return. I've been to docs they say its "in my head." or they cant help me. I'm only 24 and in good health.
