Droid X wont sync facebook contacts?

so today i "removed my facebook account" from my accounts on my droid x and then added it right back. well i guess the old facebook offered the sync all contacts and the new facebook for the droid does not because I NO LONGER HAVE ANY OF THE CONTACTS FROM MY FACEBOOK IN MY CONTACTS and thats my problem, i WANT those contacts back how can I do this? can i download the earlier version of facebook or what?
