Use pure 100% Aloe Vera, this stuff is amazing for razor burn/irritation. Trust me I have a very thick and dense beard and have to shave daily for work. I’ve tried everything you can think of from expensive lotions and gels to different types of razors. Best thing hands down, simple cheap Aloe Vera.

The obvious answer of course is to stop shaving. However if that is not appropriate to your situation, then switch from an electric razor to a blade. A good clean a shave with a blade is always less irritating since you liberally apply shave cream first to soften the hair and lubricate the skin. Oh, and try shaving before your shower rather than after; the warm water and a good rinse do help the skin rejuvenate after shaving. Also, try different after-shave products; some work well on one person but irritate others. You need one that makes you feel good and does not irritate yoru skin.

A big part depends on what you mean by a rash. If it's just irritated discolored skin then I agree with what everyone else is saying. But, if it's a lot of little bumps and some of them look kind of like pimples those are most likely razor bumps often caused by ingrown hairs. There are quite a few products available. Most of the products are marketed to African-American men because it's more prevalent in this demographic. I personally don't shave anymore but, use a facial depilatory (much like Nair for legs but this is made for your face) The brand I use is Magic Shave. http://www.ebonyline.com/hair-care-for-men-magic-shave.html and the other thing I use for after I shave and after I wash my face are products from a company called Bump Stopper http://www.bumpstopper.com/Product.htm Hope all goes well. It's a shame that our society has preset on hair and how that effect how you are viewed in the professional world. I hope all this info makes it a little bit easier to assimilate

Well, I am a girl...but I used to have this problem on my legs. I have very sensitive skin. I started using a product called "King of Shaves" about two years ago and I have never had a rash since. Really, check it out--it is a little pricey (about $6-$8 per tube) but a little goes a long way. Check out their website, I promise it will help you!
