What is an abdominal hernia?
-
I'm a heavy set white male 46 years old. I weigh roughly 360lbs. For the past few years I've noticed a bulge showing in my abdominal area slightly to the left of center. It shows whenever I tense my abs such as when doing sit ups or ab crunches. The bulge appears to be about the size of a male fist. One doctor I've seen says that it's my ab muscles pushing fat up, another doctor seems to feel it's a hernia. I have not noticed any pain from it however I do occassionally have stomach cramps and retain a lot of gas. Any ideas what this might be? Thanks much

Answer:
well, around all of your organs is a lining of strong and durable, tendon like fibers. this is so your organs dont fall out of your body when yur activ. somtimes though, th lining gets weak and breaks causing intestines or other organs to bulge up... directly under the skin. its perfectly treatable.
