What is/was on the 3rd floor of the north wing of St. Thomas' hospital London?
-
I've been visiting St. Thomas' hospital a lot recently and I noticed that the 3rd floor of the north wing is walled up for entry via the stairs and there is no button for it on the lift, so I was wondering if anyone has any idea of why that might be. Serious answers only please.

Answer:
I don't know, but in many older hospitals the old TB wings were largely abandoned or razed once no longer necessary. As a fireman I toured just such an abandoned wing in a hospital for safety reasons. I don't personally believe in ghosts, but I felt eerie walking down that hallway where so many people had passed away in unpleasant deaths. If ever a place WAS to be haunted, surely that was the place.
