Where is the best place to take an online iq test?

  • There are so many iq test sites on the internet. Most of them look like stupid scams. The tickle iq test is as about as moronic as it gets. Is there a good site out there?

There isn't, the average for an I.Q. test is eight hours. It also requires physical acts as well as answering questions.

An IQ test taken online is not accurate. Standard IQ tests like the WISC and Stanford Binet can take several hours to complete and are given one on one with someone trained in adminstering the test. There are motor tasks included that don't translate to a computer simulation. Also, IQ tests are not necessarily an accurate measure of ability. Imagaine taking an IQ test in Russian...how would you score? Does that mean you are not smart or that you don't know the language? In California, black students cannot be given an IQ test for Special Education placement because the tests were proved to be racially biased. In the 1980's one task on the WISC asked students to put the following letters in order to make a word: a-t-c-o Some students said "taco" but the correct answer was "coat". You can see the problem. There is also research that says that any IQ over 130 is unreliabe because there simply are not enough people with IQs over 130 to make an accurate comparison. Really, that's all an IQ test involves - how smart you are compared to others like you (in age, gender, etc.)
