Why did florence nightingale wear a dress ???

Florence nightingale wore a dress becuase during that period of time it was the acceptable clothing for a woman to wear. Woemen during that time period did not wear pants in public

Sounds like a pretty tough school project...I mean, why did a woman wear a dress? Gosh, that's just too much for me.

In Queen Victoria's reign it was unheard of for females to wear anything other than dresses to cover up their modesty.

That was the accepted apparel at the time for women. if she wore pants, she wouldve been sent to the loony bin.

because in olden time women didn't wear dress. And i don't even think they like it.

Women were not allowed to wear trousers. A lady had to look like a lady!

because public nudity isnt practical?

I'm pretty sure every woman did at that time.

So that she could keep a 'Little Owl',in her pocket.
