What exactly does "Still water runs deep" mean?

  • I mean I kind of know, but a self-proclaimed psychic guy I used to work with (he was the cook at a restaurant) claimed he saw a guy (like a ghost) standing over my shoulder laughing and saying "still water runs deep" about me......
