    hello. first of all you need to practise how much ever you can . read the question carefully .ensure that you never left a single word while you are reading the question. now start answering the question. while practising maths,see that you never get a wrong answer.tick all the questions that you went wrong once while doing and clear your doubts with your friends or your teacher. practice even the example problems you must also refer to other reference books so that you can try some different problems. you must not ignore the definitions. you must learn the formulae perfectly and write it once so that you don't get a doubt whether that is wright or wrong while you are writing you exam revise the chapters so many times so that you are perfect. practise maths daily at-least for 2 hrs. then, you will excel in mathematics.

Get a book which has very good and illustrative theory about every topic, go through each section thouroughly and practice as many questions on the same to ensure that you get good hold of the basics involved in that section/topic. Never try to by heart questions. Practice regularly.
